Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

The OMG Systems Modeling Language (OMG SysML™) at http://www.omgsysml.org  provides engineers, software designers, and project managers with a next generation modeling language for describing systems. These systems may be used to define hardware, software, information, processes, personnel, and facilities.

An association of industry leaders, tool vendors, government agencies and professional organizations, originally created SysML. The SysML industry team collaborated with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) to ensure that the SysML specification satisfies the needs of its members and all other systems engineers.

Telelogic was a primary member of the SysML industry team and remains active in achieving a universally accepted SysML specification. Telelogic provides thorough support for SysML within Telelogic Tau® and Telelogic Rhapsody® as a subset of its UML™ 2.0 (Unified Modeling Language™ 2.0) capability, which allows systems engineers and other users to view developed models using either diagrams and/or frameworks.
