Kevin Baltes is a ten-year Synergy veteran who transitioned from GM Powertrain Engineering to the I.T. (information technology) arm of GM in January of 2006. He is the GM global point contact to Telelogic, responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and communicating GM's user and I.T. needs to Telelogic. Kevin has a BSEE from U. of Dayton and an MS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Return to Top of PageScott Basham has been involved in software for 28 years, including the current 23 years at Convergys. Convergys develops software for communications companies, including wireless, wireline, and cable. Scott has served as both technical project leads and manager/director. He recently managed a team that authored an internal CM tool similar to Synergy/CM, but used SCCS as its foundation. Over the past 4 years he has been leading an effort to migrate projects across the corporation to Synergy/CM, and is managing a central CM team developing add-ons to Synergy/CM.
Return to Top of PageDon Cunningham has been an embedded software developer for about 30 years for commercial, military, and medical applications. In the past 17 years, Don have been involved with developing software for medical products. That experience also introduced him into SW quality assurance. Since 2003, Don has been responsible for implementing and maintaining the Telelogic tools that support the compnay's validated SW development process. In addition to maintaining the tools, he is also responsible for maintaining the SW development process by providing training and evolving the process to meet the needs of our business.

Leavenworth, Kansas where he has worked for 4 years and has over 20 years of software development experience in the Department of Defense arena. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Data Process from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas. Robert presented 'Bulletproofing Synergy with Triggers' at the 2004 Telelogic Users Group Conference and 'Making SYNERGY/Change the Center of Your Development Environment' at the 2005 UGC. And Robert's 'Pre-processing Task' trigger won the Synergy scripting contest at the 2006 UGC. Robert has a passion for Process Improvement and Automation and is constantly looking for ways to improve the Product Life Cycle.
Return to Top of PageBrenda K. Ellis is a Principle Systems Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation Integrated Systems in Melbourne, Florida. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the system and software engineering arena, she has compiled a vast workable knowledge of all life cycle phases for both small and large-scale real-time systems. Her career demonstrates a successful history of contractual obligations performed for the Department of Defense (DoD), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA).
Return to Top of PageLes Grove is a software engineer at Tektronix, Inc., in Beaverton, Oregon where he has worked for 11 years and has 20 years of experience in software development, testing, and process improvement. Les holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and have a Masters degree in Software Engineering from the University of Oregon. Les presented “7 Words You Can Never Use in a Requirement Specification� at the 2006 Telelogic Users Group Conference and have presented three papers at the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference (PNSQC) where he also contributes to the paper review process.
Return to Top of PageShane Hillam has worked in the financial sector for over 12 years in various roles associated with improving software quality from test analyst to test manager and from process engineer to process and tool manager. During this time, Shane has been instrumental in helping various companies achieve CMM level 2 and 3 certification or equivalent levels of maturity. His knowledge spans various process methodologies (key ones include CMM, PMBoK, ITIL, RUP). In addition, he has evaluated and implemented a breadth of industry supporting product development tools (key tool areas include Configuration and Change Management, Project & Portfolio Management, Requirements Management, Incident and Problem Management).

Return to Top of PagePatrick Roach is a Principal Engineer at Honeywell with 21 years experience in the information technology field. He achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Management from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. Patrick serves as the Telelogic Tools Administrator for the Communication and Navigation Systems group in Redmond, Washington. He is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and providing tech support for a completely integrated Lifecycle Data Management solution using DOORS, TAU, Synergy, and DocExpress. Patrick also serves as the president of the Telelogic Northwest User Group and is an evangelist for the Telelogic tool suite.
Return to Top of PagePat Roof's background encompasses 27 years of configuration and data management supporting multiple government programs. Ms Roof is employed by SCCI, a small business serving DoD and Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Roof has been using DOORS for requirements management since 1998. She currently supports two DoD programs. Her support efforts include database management, requirements development and configuration management. Ms Roof provides DOORS training to all levels of users and provides DOORS demonstrations to other DoD programs upon request. In addition to DOORS and DOORSnet, Ms Roof, also has experience in the utilization of Change Synergy and System Architect.

Jane has a BA from University of Waterloo, Ontario Jane also has a Engineering Technologist Diploma in Mechnical Engineering.

Prior to current position, he worked at Motorola Labs developing automatic software (code) generation tools. Before Motorola, Yuchen worked at NEC Research Institute on programming language and optimizing compiler.
Return to Top of PageRon Zorn is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Software Engineering Consultant specializing in Lifecycle Management at Beacon Associates Inc. With over 13 years experience in the Software Configuration Management field, Ron has worked with Telelogic SYNERGY since it was Continuus 4.4, and has introduced, standardized and automated Telelogic products in several companies over the years, working with development teams as small as 3 and as large as 5,000. He has been a member of the Telelogic Leadership Council for the last three years, the Executive Advisory Board for the last two years, and has enjoyed the opportunity to apply his experiences to future product enhancements. Ron holds a Bachelor degree in EECE from the University of New Mexico.
