UK User Group Conference
Newport, South Wales
Nov 19 - 21, 2007
Talk of collaboration and innovation is common place but what's the reality? Laurent Lachal, Ovum analyst, will find out as he talks with Sally Sinclair - Vodafone, Henric Andersson - Saab AB, Kevin Wilkes - T-Mobile, Tony Bagnall - EADS and Paul Davies - Thales.

Laurent Lachal is currently in charge of Ovum's open source research practice, working in close co-operation with other members of the Ovum software group to cover the various aspects of the open source movement and its impact on the software market. In his 15-year career as an IT analyst, Laurent has provided software vendors and users with insight into a wide range of issues from high-level business strategy to low-level technology, through papers, market and technology reports, conference presentations, workshops and consultancy assignments.
As a key contributor to Ovum's Software@Ovum advisory service, Laurent's work has covered the whole spectrum of business applications through the management of three evaluation reports: Ovum Evaluates: ERP, Ovum Evaluates: Corporate Financial Systems and Ovum Evaluates: B2B E-Procurement. He also has a strong understanding of the infrastructure software area, as former manager of the Ovum Evaluates: EAI report and of the BPM research practice.
Prior to joining Ovum, Laurent was a senior analyst at Gartner, specialising in the European software market.
